I’m still getting traffic and attention in the right places, but I know I could be doing so much more going after the right keywords or optimizing posts and pages.

Very useful organic SEO tips! From the above list, I feel that web page loading speed is the most crucial factor. I hate to wait for a website that loads at a snail’s pace and that is the reason why Google penalizes them

It’s worth taking some time to get your on page SEO set up, then your off page efforts will be more effective. It’s the power of Leverage.
I spent some time learning about ways to improve page loading speed (and wrote a post on it which I’ll link to with CommentLuv below), although I still personally use too many plugins which slows things down a bit. Also have some problems with w3tc at the moment…
